Dr. Katrina Hermetet

Dr. Katrina Hermetet, pediatric psychologist, joins the Tourette Association as Vice President of Medical and Scientific Affairs. Previously, she was the Division Chief of Neurobehavioral Health at Akron Children’s Hospital, where she led the Tic & Tourette Service and the School Success Clinic. She has served on the TAA Medical Advisory Board and is certified in CBIT.

Dr. Hermetet has presented nationally and internationally on Tourette Syndrome, gender-affirming healthcare, and special education law. Passionate about mentoring and research, she developed a group treatment for adolescents with TS. Outside work, she enjoys hiking, writing, and preserving her 100-year-old farmhouse. She is excited to further TAA’s mission of support, advocacy, and education for the TS community.
